Lost in Grace

"Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?.. Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place, that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it."
Job 38:4-5, 12-13

I'll admit. I've had a rough last few weeks. On top of quitting my job and feeling the stress of starting this new business, my apartment was destroyed thanks to frozen pipes on New Years Day. A few more things didn't seem to go my way, and I was down in the dumps. I found myself praying to God asking when the tide was going to turn. How fickle we are as humans! Well a few days ago as I was going through the book of Job for my yearly bible challenge, I came across these verses above that really spoke to me. Job was a man who knew more suffering than I could even fathom. He had every right to be angry and confused. So when God responds with two chapters of basically "Get in your place, Job!", I realized it wasn't time for God to turn the page on this tough season, but instead time for me to flip the script on my outlook.
Sometimes we live in our own little bubble and wonder why God let's specific things happen when there is always a greater thing at play! Trust God's process. We will never understand the greatness and majesty of His plan. But for me, it is time to rest in His plan instead of questioning it.

"I spoke of things I could not understand, things to wonderful for me. Although I had no right to ask, my God knelt and answered me."
