I went on a men’s retreat over the weekend in the mountains and was completely without service or internet for 48 hours. It was the first time in many years that I went a whole day without looking at my phone, and while I missed all you lovely people and @jo_hat23 dearly, it was such a necessary break.
I spent the weekend getting rained on in my hammock in the middle of the night, rafting down the breathtaking Payette River, and free climbing for the first time in my life. It was unseasonably cold and rainy (45 degrees in August?), and I was loving every second of it. And while I live for all of the above activities, nothing compared to the hours spent around the campfire getting to know men both young and old from our new church here in Idaho. The campfire has a way of stripping you to your core... age, job titles, and income fade away while stories, dreams, and laughs take their place.
I feel rejuvenated and excited to continue on pushing @ragamuffincoto be the best it can be. God is working. And I am thankful. ❤️
